Effects of the crude extract (BTL) and compound 8 from the leaves of Bauhinia thonningii, valinomycin on the mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) of CCRF-CEM cells after 24 h treatment. IC50 values 14.23 µg/mL for BTL and 3.03 µM for compound 8. Control cells were treated with DMSO to a final concentration of 0.1%. The 5,5′,6,6′-tetrachloro-1,1′,3,3′-tetraethylbenzimidazolylcarbocyanine iodide (JC-1) staining combined to flow cytometry was used to analyze the MMP.
