Effects of PSC-FEs on glucose consumption in insulin-resistant HepG2 cells. The GOD-POD assay was carried to check glucose consumption. The insulin-resistant HepG2 cells were treated with low (5 ug/ml) and high (50 ug/ml) doses of total and methanolic PSC-FE for 24 h and glucose consumption was measured as described under materials and methods. Treatment with 1 mM metformin was considered as positive control.
