A. muricata L. leaf and bark extracts display selective anti-proliferative activity on prostate cancer cells. PC-3 prostate cancer cell line (a) and RWPE-1 normal prostate cell line (b) were treated for 72 h with 100 μg/mL extracts of hexane, ethanol and ethyl acetate of leaf, bark alone and leaf:bark in 1:1 ratio. Cell viability was calculated as a percentage of solvent control (1% each solvent as control for each type of extract) and results are represented as mean ± SEM (n = 3). For different extracts with the same plant part, # represents statistically significant differences (p < 0.05, two-way ANOVA). ‘ns’ represents no statistical significance
