Fraction F inhibited proinflammatory mediators. RAW264.7 macrophages were treated for 0.5 h with 12.5 μg/ml 25 μg/ml, 50 μg/ml or 100 μg/ml Fraction F, followed by incubation with or without 1 μg/ml LPS for 24 h. The levels of IL-6 (a) and TNF-α (b) in the culture media were determined by ELISA. The expression levels of COX-2 and iNOS in the cell lysates were measured by Western blot (c). Western blot results are representative of three different experiments. ELISA data are presented as means ± SD of three independent experiments. *P < 0.05 compared to LPS alone. (n = 3)
