Effects of Cl-EE on proinflammatory cytokines at transcriptional and translational levels in LPS-activated macrophages. a Effects of Cl-EE on the supernatant proinflammatory cytokines in LPS-activated macrophages. RAW264.7 cells were pretreated with Cl-EE for 1 h at the indicated concentrations and then exposed to LPS (10 ng/mL) for TNF-α, IL-6 and MCP-1 determination. BMDMs were pretreated with Cl-EE for 1 h and then exposed to LPS (40 ng/mL) for IL-1β assay. The production of TNF-α, IL-6, MCP-1 and IL-1β in the supernatant were determined by ELISA. b Effects of Cl-EE on the mRNA levels of the proinflammatory cytokines in LPS-activated RAW264.7 cells. Cells were pretreated with Cl-EE at the indicated concentrations for 1 h and then exposed to LPS (10 ng/mL) for 4 h. The mRNA expression of TNF-α, IL-6, MCP-1, and IL-1β were determined by RT-PCR analysis. ##P < 0.01 versus NC group; *P < 0.05 and **P < 0.01 versus LPS alone
