Herbal medicines ameliorated cisplatin-induced kidney injury markers. Mice were given an intraperitoneal injection (i.p.) of cisplatin (20 mg/kg) for 3 days. After Nelumbo nymphaea (NY), Paeonia suffruticosa (PS) given an orally administration (300 mg/kg) for 3 days. Concentration of NGAL and KIM-1 were measured in urine and serum (ad). All the values are expressed as mean ± S.E.M., n = 3 in each group. *, ** and *** statistically different from cisplatin at p < 0.05, p < 0.01 and p < 0.001, respectively
