The C2C12 muscle cells were either untreated or treated with insulin (3000 mIU/ml), defatted extract of A. karroo (25 μg/ml) and a combination of the plant extract and insulin for 3 h. Data shown are from a four minute exposure to X-ray. The results obtained were expressed as means ± SEM. The statistical significance of the results was tested using one way ANOVA employing the Tukey-Kramer Multiple Comparisons Test.
