The effect of DMC on the expressions of apoptotic proteins. a and b show the expression of Bax, BAD, caspase-3, caspase-6, caspase-8, caspase-9 in mitochondria and Cyt-c in cytosol was increased while the expressions of Bcl-2, Bcl-xL and Cyt-c in mitochondria was significantly decreased by the rotenone treatment as compared with control. Pretreatment with DMC gradually restored the imbalanced expression profile of these proteins. Immunoblots are representative of at least four independent experiments. Values are given as mean±SEM in each group. *p<0.05 compared to control and #p<0.05 compared to rotenone group (DMRT)
