Intensity of agglutination was observed and scored between + and + + +, where the control latex which showed no reactivity in the absence of PBP2a is considered as “-” (interpretation: + + + strong presence of agglutination, + + agglutination against turbid background, + slight agglutination against turbid background, − no agglutination).
