The effect of water extract of Puerariae radix on intracellular total, free and esterified cholesterol concentrations in HepG2 cells. Hep G2 cells were incubated with water extract of Puerariae radix for 24 h. Total, free and esterified cholesterol levels were quantified by GLC and expressed as a percentage of control ± SEM (n = 3). Means were compared using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Tukey's post-hoc test. Different letters in graphs indicate significance from each other at p < 0.05.
