Detection of early apoptosis in the lymph node V β8 ⁺ T cells 48 h post injection of SEB. Balb/c mice (n = 3 per group) were treated as described in the Materials and Methods. The cells were stained for the expression of CD3, Vβ8 and Annexin V and then evaluated by flow cytometry. (A) The scatter plots of the Vβ8⁺/Annexin V⁺ T cells from the lymph nodes of the individual mice are shown. (B) The percent of Annexin V⁺ cells in the CD3⁺/Vβ8⁺ population of lymph nodes cells is shown. Error bars represent standard deviation.
