Effects of TPA and STE on MMP-9 activity. (A) HONE-1 cells were treated with TPA (1, 5, 10, 50, and 100 ng/mL) for 24 h. (B) HONE-1 cells were treated with TPA (50 ng/mL) for 6, 12, 24 and 48 h. (C-D) HONE-1 cells were treated with STE (0, 25, 50, 75, and 100 μg/mL) in the presence or absence of TPA (50 ng/mL) for 24 h. All of the cells were subjected to gelatin zymography analysis to determine the activities of MMP-2 and MMP-9.
