The region of − 0.008 eA − 2 < σ <  + 0.008 eA − 2 indicates London dispersion forces in heptane. Peaks at σhb >  + 0.008eA − 2 indicate hydrogen bonding energy and the presence of hydrogen bond donor, while peaks at σhb <  + 0.008eA − 2 indicate the presence of a hydrogen bond acceptor group. A higher negative value of µ(σ) indicates an increasing interaction between molecules, while a higher positive value indicates an increase in repellant behavior
