Group A: Standard pellet diet and water; Group B: Standard pellet diet, water, and compound; Group C: Standard pellet diet, water, and plant extract; Group D: Standard pellet diet, water, and positive control. N.B: the animal food (25 g) was mixed with natural apple essence 30 ul (sugar free flavouring) to make the food more palatable.
