Statistical comparisons of parasitological and molecular parameters for mice inoculated with Trypanosoma cruzi (Y strain - TcII), treated with 100 mg/kg/day of benznidazole (BZ), the essential oil of Zingiber officinale (GEO) and the combination of the two (BZ + GEO) for 20 consecutive days, and in untreated controls (NT). In the comparisons of each parameter, the percentage of mice with positive fresh blood examination (% + FBE), positive blood culture (% + BC), positive conventional PCR (% + cPCR) and positive real time PCR (% + qPCR), among the 4 experimental groups, values of p ≤ 0.05 were considered significant (Chi-square test).
