SSB extract treatment attenuated the activity of MPO and systemic inflammation in LPS/D-GalN-induced acute liver injury in mice. 24 h after the administration of LPS/D-GalN plus SSB extract, the activity of (a) MPO in the mouse liver was measured. The serum levels of (b) IL-6, (c) TNF-α, (d) IL-12, (e) ICAM-1, and (f) CRP were determined using ELISA.
