The effect of AELE on the expression of pro- and anti-apoptotic proteins. Western blot analysis and quantification of apoptosis-regulating proteins in Monomac-1 cells treated with AELE for 24 h. Significant upregulation of cleaved PARP-1, and Bax/Bcl-2 ratio was observed between Monomac-1 control cells and cells treated with 173 μg/ml or 346 μg/ml of AELE for 24 h.
