The concept of Kampo related education. A total of 72 schools (97%) were based on Japanese traditional medicine; on the other hand, 19 schools (26%) were based on TCM (traditional Chinese medicine), 25 schools (34%) on Western EBM (evidence-based medicine), 64 schools (86%) on pharmacognosy and/or pharmaceutical botany, and only 1 school was based on the general history of medicine (multiple responses were permitted)
