Ex vivo effects of PM21 on platelet aggregation. PM21 (75 mg/kg, 150 mg/kg, and 300 mg/kg) was orally administered 1 h before carrageenan injection, and thereafter three more treatments with 24 h interval for 3 days. Aspirin or clopidogrel was administered to positive control groups at the dose of 50 mg/kg. Blood was collected 1 h after the final treatment. Platelet aggregation was induced by adding 5 μg/mL collagen and terminated after 5 min, and monitored by measuring light transmission with an aggregometer. Data show the mean ± SEM of six measurements. ***p < 0.001 versus vehicle control
