Inhibition effect of the specific inhibitors on NGF-, or 6-shogaol induced neuritogenesis in PC-12 cells. Cells were pre-treated with K252a, U0126, PD98059 and LY294002 for one hour before the treatment with NGF (50 ng/ml) or 6-shogaol (500 ng/ml). Cells in complete F-12 K medium served as a negative control. An independent control (without inhibitor) was used in each treatment group. Data were expressed as means ± SD from three independent experiments carried out in triplicates. ***p < 0.001 compared to the respective controls
