Cells were incubated with NGF (50 ng/ml) or 6-shogaol for 48 h. Cells in complete F-12 K medium served as a negative control. The concentration of extracellular NGF (pg/ml) was interpolated from the NGF standard curve using the average absorbance value of triplicate wells.
