From: Inhibition of biofilm formation in Mycobacterium smegmatis by Parinari curatellifolia leaf extracts
The effect of P. curatellifolia acetone and ethanol extracts on the growth of M. smegmatis. M. smegmatis mc2 155 laboratory strain at concentration of 2 × 106 cfu/mL was treated with different concentrations of the acetone (a) and ethanol extract (b) from 0 μg/ml up to 100 μg/ml. The bacteria were incubated with extracts at 37 ̊ C for 20 h and cell density was determined by measuring absorbance of reduced MTT at 590 nm. The error bars on the graphs indicate the standard deviation from mean (n = 4). Dunnet’s multiple comparison test was used to compare columns using Graphpad prism 6 software.
