  1. SD rats were orally administered with PJ and PS at the doses mentioned earlier for 21 days. The body weights of all rats were measured weekly. The values are means ± S.E.M. of body weight gain for 8 rats in each group. **p˂0.01 was considered as significant compared to nondiabetic control group, ns non-significant changes between diabetic treated groups versus diabetic control group after 21 days of treatment
