  1. aThe ΔCT value is determined by subtracting the average CT value of GAPDH gene from the average CT value of target gene. The standard deviation of the difference is calculated from the standard deviations of the target gene and GAPDH gene
  2. bThe ΔΔCT value is determined by subtracting the ΔCT value of mock group from the ΔCT value of treatment group. This is a subtraction of an arbitrary constant, so the standard deviation of ΔΔCT is the same as the standard deviation of ΔCT value
  3. cFold change is presented as 2-ΔΔCT if the value is ≥ 1, or as −1/2-ΔΔCT if the value is <1
