EL suppresses in vitro invasive potential of lung cancer cells. a A549 and c H460 cells were placed in the upper chamber of the Matrigel inserts (8 μm pore size) in serum-free RPMI-1640 medium, and then treated with 0 or 100 μM EL for 24 or 48 h. The number of invaded cells were fixed with 4% formaldehyde and stained with 2% crystal violet. Invasive cells were then photographed under a light microscope at 200x.
