DPE decreased MPO levels in CAC murine models. The activity of the enzyme myeloperoxidase (MPO) was used to evaluate infiltration of neutrophils. MPO levels were measured from lysed colon cells. Each group consisted of at least four mice. Results shown are mean + SD, with n = 4 replicates in each group. Results are mean ± SD. *, p < 0.05. **, p < 0.001
