Figure 7 shows the effect of Curcuma Longa (CL) on mean colon myeloperoxidase (MPO) in IBD rat model levels in rats before and after the induction of IBD. CL significantly (P < 0.05) reduced MPO levels after 2, 4 and 7 days of IBD compared to IBD control. *Significance difference between IBD and from Non IBD control; # Significance difference between CL-treated and IBD control (n = 6)
