Body weight changes of female (a) and male (b) Sprague Dawley rats during the 28-day toxicological assessment. The vehicle, water (10 ml/kg/day), was administered to rats in the control group. No significant differences were detected between the treated (250, 500 and 1000 mg/kg) and control (vehicle 10 ml/kg) groups. All values are expressed as the mean ± S.E.M. (n = 5)
