  1. Cytotoxic activity is expressed as IC50 (μg/mL) ± SD (n = 3) and IC50 (μg/mL) ± SD (n = 3) for MCF-7 and 184B5 cells, respectively, which is the concentration of extract at which 50 % of cell growth was inhibited relative to cells incubated in the presence of 0.1 % DMSO vehicle control. MCF-7 and 184B5 cells were treated with doxorubicin as a positive control. The drug showed IC50 values at 0.21 ± 1.25 μg/ml and 0.02 ± 1.97 μg/ml in MCF-7 and 184B5 cells, respectively
