DC = diabetic-control; DT = diabetic-treated; Δw = weight-change relative to the weight on the day on which the streptozotocin was injected. All parameters except body weight, Δw and plasma glucose are given per 100 g of body weight and all values are means ± standard error measured on the 4th day after injection with streptozotocin and before starting treatment with Bauhinia forficata decoction.
