MIC results observed after 48 h are regarded as: strong inhibitors (MIC < 0.5 mg ml^-1); moderate inhibitors (0.6 ≤ MIC ≤ 1.5 mg ml^-1) and weak inhibitors (MIC < 1.6 mg ml^-1) [29].
