Differential protein expression profiles of control, TGF-β1, and COE treated SGC-7901 cell samples. (A) Approximately 2 mg of protein lysates were focused on pH 3-10 linear IPG strips and then separated by a 12% polyacrylamide gel. Protein expression patterns were subsequently visualized by Coomassie Brilliant Blue staining method. Spots highlighted in arrows were the areas where significant and consistent differences were expressed in the protein expression levels in control, TGF-β1, and COE treated groups. (B) Identification and verification of candidate proteins by MALDI-MS analyses. The mass spectrometric spectra showed the identities of the proteins, namely (i) HSP 27, (ii) prohibitin, (iii) cofilin-1, and (iv) Annexin A5.
