Effects of baicalein (BE) on pro-apoptotic proteins. (a) Cells were pretreated with BE (0.1 to 10 μM) for 1 h followed by incubation with lysoPC (10 μM) for 24 h. The expression levels of Bcl-2 protein and Bax protein are shown in the upper panel. Quantitative analysis on the Bcl-2/Bax ratio, an index of antiapoptotic trend, is shown in the lower panel.
