One half of the in vitro MIC of UA and OA alone or in combination were incubated with M. tuberculosis H37Rv and RFU were recorded at the end of the incubation period; the X/Y quotient analysis was applied to establish the type of pharmacological interaction between these compounds, where X represents the RFU value obtained with the combination of both compounds, and Y is the RFU value of the compound that presented the lowest value, when alone.
