In vitro HDAC inhibitory activity of sinapinic acid. Results were expressed as relative HDAC activity with respect to the vehicle control (DMSO). Sodium butyrate (NaB) at indicated concentrations was studied comparatively. Each value represents the mean ± SD of three experiments, performed in duplicate. Asterisks (*) denote significant differences vs control (p < 0.05). Half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) values represent concentrations of the indicated compounds that inhibit 50% of HDAC activity in vitro.
