  1. Measurements were obtained from samples collected on day 7 (7d), day 21 (21d), and day 35 (35d) after experimental injury. Three samples per animal were collected from the central region of the defect. Values are reported as the mean and standard deviation of each group and were compared by ANOVA and the Tukey post-test . * Significantly different from control (p < 0.05).
