Liver tissue slices from non-diabetic rats without treatment (a, b) and with C. papaya aqueous extract treatments: 1.5 g/100 mL (c, d) or 0.75 g/100 mL (e, f). All liver sections showed normal structure; however, rat livers treated with 1.5 g/100 mL of C. papaya extract exhibited slight univesicular steatosis near the central veins.
