  1. Body weights and serum glucose levels were first measured at the age of 7 weeks old just before starting drug administration. The db/db mice were randomly separated into 4 groups and underwent daily administration of vehicle, 375 mg/kg and 750 mg/kg CTS, or 2.5 mg/kg THA. After completion of the behavioral study, the body weight and serum glucose levels of each animal were again measured at the age of 14 weeks old. CTS and THA represent chotosan extract and tacrine, respectively. Each datum represents the mean ± S.D. (n = 6 – 9). ### P < 0.001 vs. respective 7w-m/m or 14w-m/m group (t-test).
