From: Zizyphus lotus L. (Desf.) modulates antioxidant activity and human T-cell proliferation
Different extracts of the Zizyphus modulate IL-2 mRNA expression. The human Jurkat T-cells (1 × 106/assay) were incubated in the presence of various extracts of the Zizyphus lotus L. (Desf.) plant and stimulated with anti-CD3 antibodies during 2 h. Values differ significantly compared with anti-CD3-stimulated cells p < 0.001 (*). Each value represents the mean of six determinations. § represent the significant differences (p < 0.01) with stem, pulp, leaf, root extract at 20 μg/ml.
