The cells were stimulated with 1 μg/ml of LPS, in the absence or presence of various concentrations (10, 50, 100, 300 μg/ml) of SC-E1 for 24 h. Nitrite production by LPS treated macrophages was measured using Griess reagent. Effects of SC-E1 on the secretion of (b) PGE2, (c) IL-1β (d), and TNF-α.
